LEXINGTON, Va.—The Southern Virginia women's basketball team traveled a short distance to Lexington to face the Generals of Washington and Lee. The Knights played hard but came up short, 70-101.
Freshman guard Merideth Ouellette led the Knights (1-3) with an impressive 18 points and five assists, she also recorded three steals, and three rebounds. Autumn Cramer came off the bench scoring 15 points and brought down four rebounds. Cramer also tallied two assists and two steals.
Larissa Macfarlane scored double digits for the Knights and added five rebounds to her 10 points.
The Knights shot 41.7% from the field and 68% from the free-throw line.
The Generals (2-3) scored over half of their points in the paint.
Southern Virginia will seek their first conference win of the season when they return home on Wednesday, December 2. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Knight Sports Arena
