SALEM, Va. - A couple of weeks after its appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the Southern Virginia University women's basketball team participated in one more event to officially end the 2025-2026 season.
Abigail Snyder, the Knights leading scorer and USA South Player of the Year, represented Southern Virginia at the 4th Annual WBCA Division lll All-Star Game on Saturday, March 21st in Salem, Virginia.
The selection has prestige behind it, as only 20 players from all of Division lll women's basketball are selected. It's a full weekend of events, with a women's leadership panel, kids clinic, and other activities spread throughout three days.
The All-Star game took place in the Cregger Center at Roanoke College, site of the NCAA Division lll Women's Basketball Final Four. Including Snyder, the game featured numerous All-Region athletes and several All-Americans.
The All-Stars were split into two teams of 10, with Snyder joining Team Crutchfield, coached by Anne Crutchfield, a former Head Coach of Emory & Henry University. Team Crutchfield came out on top, 93-74.
