BUENA VISTA, Va.—All five starters scored double digits for the Knights' women's basketball team on Tuesday night, lifting the team to a thrilling 93-90 overtime victory over Roanoke College

Southern Virginia (2-2) won the second and fourth quarters, taking a one-point lead into the intermission and forcing overtime on a buzzer-beating layup by freshman Kelsey Johnson.

Early into the overtime period the Knights trailed by four, but answered with a three-point basket from Merideth Ouellette and three free throws from Morgan Hartvigsen, who was fouled on her three-point attempt.

Both teams would score again before an Angel Tuisavura layup and Larissa Knight free throw would seal the deal for the Knights.

"I'm super proud of the girls (today)," head coach Heather Roberts said after the second straight overtime win, "it was a total team effort with contributions from many individuals who stepped up when we needed it. It was a fun game to watch a be a part of."

Leilani Hansen and Kimberly Eads led the Knights with 15 points apiece, Hansen's points came from a game-high five three-pointers. Shelby Winsor had her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Hartvigsen finished with 14 points, including three treys.  

Ouellette and Jamilla Gambee chipped in 10 and 11 points, respectively. Gambee added four assists.

The Knights shot 48% from three, and held Roanoke (2-2) scoreless from behind the arc.

Southern Virginia is back in action on Saturday at Hood College. Tipoff is at 1 p.m.
