HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va.—The Southern Viriginia men's tennis team took a decisive 8-1 match over Hampden-Sydney College on Wednesday to win their third straight.
For the first time this year the Knights swept all three doubles matches with TJ Snelson and Justin Fullmer, Tyler Clark and Kjell Henness, and Dallin Evans and Brennan Alford earning wins.
Snelson also won in No. 1 singles 6-7 (10-5), 6-1 over his opponent, Clark won 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot, Dallin Evans picked up a win in No. 3 singles and Fullmer took the decision in No. 4.
Alford won the second set, but came up short in the third.
Henness won his third in a row, defeating his opponent 7-6, 7-6.
The Knights are back in action as they begin Capital Athletic Conference play against Salisbury University on Friday. The match will be held in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
