BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team won their sixth straight match Wednesday evening with a 3-0 sweep of Virginia Tech.
The Knights (8-4) have won their last nine sets at home, and sixth straight match. Against Virginia Tech the Knights took the straight sets 29-27, 25-20, and 25-17.
Southern Virginia led by as many as seven points in the first set, but Virginia Tech tied the game at 19, and edged the Knights to a 29-27 set.
Sophomore Daniel Aina led the Knights with eight kills and six digs, along with two blocks. Setter Kaipo Tagaloa dished out 28 assists.
Paul Clark recorded a game-high service aces and seven kills.
The Knights have a week off before heading to New York for a trio of matches on February 17 and 18.
