BUENA VISTA, Va. - After an exciting conference championship weekend, the NCAA revealed its regional matchups for the 2026 Division lll men's volleyball tournament on Monday morning.
Southern Virginia University, the defending NCAA Division lll champions, received an at-large bid to "the dance," marking the seventh consecutive season the Knights will participate in the tournament.
Led by CVC Player of the Year, Gehrig Tolman, Southern Virginia has put together another remarkable season, ranking inside the top ten in the AVCA poll each week. They've made it to the final four twice in their history, having defeated Springfield for the national title last spring.
The first opponent in the way of the Knights title defense is No. 10 Loras, hosted by Carthage College in Wisconsin. The Duhawks will try to bounce back from a loss in the CCIW semifinal last week. Southern Virginia defeated Loras in five sets earlier this season.

The winner of Southern Virginia and Loras will have a potential showdown with the regional host, No. 3 Carthage, champions of the CCIW. However, they'll first need to get through their opening round opponent, the winner of Thiel and Dominican (IL).
