BUENA VISTA, Va. – Thursday night's 3-0 sweep over Liberty University marked the Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team's 15th straight win, and tenth sweep of the season.
The Knights (17-4) topped the Flames (26-20) in straight sets, 25-16, 25-16, 25-19 in front of a home crowd. Paul Clark led the attack with 11 kills, followed by Alma Ray who chipped in 10. Setter Kaipo Tagaloa totaled 29 assists.
After a sideout on the opening serve in the third set, Clark led the Knights to a 9-0 lead from the service line, recording four aces in the run.
Colby Wilson and Daniel Aina each had three block assists in the match which was a win through team effort.
Southern Virginia will rest for a week before heading to King University in Bristol, Tennessee next Friday. The match will begin at 4:30 p.m.
