BUENA VISTA Va. – In their last conference match of the season, the Southern Virginia University women's tennis team swept Frostburg State 9-0.
Beginning the match, all three doubles teams defeated their respective opponents dropping only eight games total. The number two team of Lauren Morrison and Natalie Teets lost only a single game.
In singles, five of the six won in straight sets, with Kelly Worthington winning 6-0 6-0 and senior Kari Stollenwerk dropping just one game, 6-0 6-1. No. 3 senior Micah Morse was down 3-6 1-4 in her match, before rallying to win 3-6 7-5 10-4.
The women will play their final match of the season at Shenandoah on Thursday, April 13.
