BUENA VISTA Va. – The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team took control of the court and defeated the Messiah College Falcons in straight sets Friday afternoon. 

The match started with both teams going back and forth attacking each other's serves. Once the Knights were up 13-12, they began to pull away with Nahuel Aguerro winning five points in a row on his serve and Paul Clark ending the set with four points won on his serve.

The story was the same in the remaining sets with the Knights pulling away mid-set and never looking back, ending the match 25-16, 25-19, 25-15.

Paul Clark led the Knights with 14 kills followed by Nahuel Aguerro and Freshman Mark Stapley who each tallied five. Kaipo Tagaloa recorded twenty-five assists and two kills.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, March 24 as they take on Continental Volleyball Conference foe Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
