No.9 Knights Win Third Straight, Defeat Daemen 3-0

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team won their third straight game of the season by beating Daemen 3-0 at the Juniata Invitational Saturday morning.

The Knights (3-0) dominated the first set 25-18 with their best performance of the match, hitting .684 while recording 15 kills with only two errors dominating the set 25-18.

In the second set, the Knights dipped their hitting percentage to .192 while still managing to win the set 25-16.

Southern Virginia eliminated Daemen (1-3) 25-14 in the third and final set with a performance similar to the first.

Nahuel Recabarren led the Knights with 12 kills with a hitting percentage of .625. Paul Clark followed with eight kills while Kaipo Tagaloa registered a game-high 27 assists. Colby Wilson recorded a season and game-high in blocks with six.

Recabarren and Wilson both received All-Tournament Team honors following their impressive performance this weekend.

Southern Virginia returns home for a matchup against Stevenson Friday, Feb.1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Knight Arena.
