Box Score YORK, Pa. — The Southern Virginia men's soccer team suffered a tough loss on Saturday, falling 7-0 to conference foe York College (Pa.).
The two teams played a scoreless game until the 28th minute, in which the Spartans' (5-4-2, 1-2 CAC) Zion Friday scored the first of his three first half goals.
After going into the halftime break down 3-0, things didn't get easier for the Knights (2-10, 0-3 CAC) as York found the back of the net four more times before the end of the game.
York bombarded the Knights' defense with 42 shots, compared to just five for the Knights, which were taken by five different players.
Senior Jacob Solis took the loss in goal, saving nine shots in the process. James Hampton also got time in the second half, finishing with three saves.
The Knights will continue conference play on Wednesday as they travel to Fredericksburg, Va. to take on Mary Washington. The matchup is scheduled for 4 p.m.
