No. 11 Knights Dominate Saturday's Double-Header Go 2-0

MAHWAH, N.J.—The No. 11 Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team won both of their games on Saturday afternoon, defeating both Ramapo College and Alvernia University 3-0.

Against Ramapo (2-5, 1-1 CVC), the Knights (5-1, 2-0 CVC) came out firing in the first game recording 18 kills with only 3 errors en route to a 25-18 win. The Knights faltered slightly in the second, but not enough to keep them from taking the game 25-19. The third game was all Southern Virginia as they dominated the Roadrunners 25-15.

The Knights then matched up against the Golden Wolves of Alvernia University (2-5). Again, Southern Virginia came out on fire in the first, taking down the Wolves 25-12. They cooled off in the second but were still able to come out on top 25-18 and then finish off the afternoon with a 25-17 victory in game three.

Nahuel Recabarren and Paul Clark both had monster games for the Knights, recording 28 and 25 kills in the combined two games respectively. Setter Kaipo Tagaloa also had a noteworthy day for Southern Virginia with 38 assists against Ramapo and 32 in the defeat of Alvernia.

The Knights continue CVC action as they travel to Eastern Mennonite University to face off against the Lions on the 12th of February at 7 p.m.
