Box Score ASHLAND, Va. — The No. 11 Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team remained perfect in Continental Volleyball Conference play Saturday night, sweeping the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets 3-0.
The Knights (18-2, 9-0 CVC) hit the ground running in the first set, dominating the Yellow Jackets (9-13, 3-6 CVC) recording 13 kills while hitting .647 and only committing two errors in the set for the 25-11 victory.
The Yellow Jackets only lead of the game came on the first point in the second set. The Knights tied the game on the next point and led for the next two sets winning the second set 25-18 and the third set 25-16.
Four different players recorded five or more kills for the Knights with Nahuel Recabarren leading the way with eight kills. Kaipo Tagaloa collected 24 assists on the night with six digs and Danny Aina led the Knights with a team-high seven digs while Mitch Usevitch led the front row with three blocks.
Southern Virginia begins a three-game homestand starting this Tuesday, Mar. 26 against Brewton-Parker at 7:00 p.m. in the Knight Arena.
