Knights Extend Winning Streak to Six; Roll Past Monarchs 89-55

BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University women's basketball team extended their winning streak to seven games Saturday afternoon, taking down Methodist in Knight Arena 89-55.

Anna Singer: Game-high and career-high 19 points | five rebounds | three assists

Savanna Christensen: 18 points | five blocks | eight rebounds

Katie Garrish: Double-double | 18 points | 11 rebounds

Taylor Miyasaki: Career-high 10 points | one rebound

  • The Knights came out hot in the first quarter, putting up 20 first-quarter points
  • Emma Camden led the way with seven points and added three rebounds
  • Coming off of the bench, Anna Singer added six points while Taylor Miyasaki recorded five points
  • Savanna Christensen turned up in the second quarter, tallying 12 points, and three rebounds
  • Courtney McKrola got back into action after coming out in the first quarter to tend to a minor injury, adding three points
