Box Score 2 OWINGS MILLS, MD. — The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team split their weekend at Stevenson University Saturday afternoon, falling to Stevenson 0-3 while defeating Lancaster Bible 3-1.

Tournament Notes
- After being swept in game one, Southern Virginia looked to bounce back against Lancaster Bible, going up 4-0 early off of a kill and an ace from Kyler Evans
- The Knights extended their lead to six points 14-8 midway through the set off of kills from Walker, and Paul Candland
- Kristo Bianchin Puente recorded the final kill of the first set to put the team up 1-0 early with the 25-21 win
- Lancaster Bible answered with a second set victory 25-22 to even the match up at 1-1
- Puente and Candland led the team with three kills each in the second
- Midway through the third, Southern Virginia found themselves down 13-16 but managed to go ahead 22-21 off of a 9-5 scoring run
- Lancaster Bible went ahead 23-22, but a kill and block from Puente locked in the 25-23 set win, putting the team up 2-1
- Both teams went back and forth in the final set, with the Knights holding onto the 15-14 advantage
- Southern Virginia used a 7-0 scoring run led by three consecutive Paul Candland service aces to put themselves ahead 22-14
- Nahuel Recabarren called game with a final kill to lock in the team's 3-1 victory
Southern Virginia returns to action on Tuesday, February 8, to take on Marymount University on the road. Game time is scheduled for 7pm.
