Box Score ARLINGTON, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball opened conference play against Marymount University Tuesday night, taking down the Saints in four sets 3-1.

Game Notes
- After falling behind 0-1 after a first set loss, the Knights regrouped with a strong second set effort
- Finding themselves down 9-11 midway through the second set, Kyler Evans tied things up 11-11 off an assist from Tagaloa
- Kyler Evans again recorded a kill to put the team up 12-11 before Nahuel Recabarren sparked a 6-2 scoring run to make the new score 18-13
- Both teams went back and forth the remainder of the set before Kristo Puente Bianchin locked in the set win off of a kill from Justin Madsen
- The third set saw both teams knotted throughout the entire set, with both teams locked at 18
- After a short two-point run by Marymount, Nahuel Recabarren again got the momentum going for the squad, setting up a 7-1 run to take the third set 25-21
- In the final set, the Knights doubled up the Saints 10-5 courtesy of kills from Paul Candland and Recabarren
- Both teams traded points with Southern Virginia holding the 18-13 advantage until the Knights set up match point after a costly service error from the Saints
- Kristo Puente Bianchin ended the match on the ensuing serve, recording a service ace to lock in the 3-1 victory
Southern Virginia welcomes Immaculata and Mount St. Joseph's to Knight Arena Saturday, February 12. Game one is scheduled for 11 am, and game two is scheduled for 3 pm.
