BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team took care of business Friday night, taking down Randolph-Macon College in four sets 3-1.

Game Notes

• After falling in the first set, the Knights took control of the game moving forward
• Finding themselves down by two points 8-6, McKay Walker sparked an 11-1 scoring run to go ahead 17-9
• Nahuel Recabarren tied the match up with a final kill from Kaipo Tagaloa to take the second set 25-23
• Southern Virginia followed the script of the second set, finding themselves down one point 12-11 before McKay Walker again ignited a 10-2 run to go ahead 21-14
• A costly attacking error by the Yellow Jackets gave the Knights the 2-1 lead in the match, taking the third set 25-17
• In the final set, Southern Virginia held the 23-13 lead before allowing a 6-1 run by Randolph-Macon, but the Yellow Jackets ended the game with a service error to give the Knights the 3-1 victory

Southern Virginia takes on Eastern Mennonite in Knight Arena on Wednesday, March 16. Game time is slated for 5 pm.
