ROME, GA. — The Southern Virginia University men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up their seasons Friday afternoon at the USA South Conference Tournament. 

Men's Tournament Notes

• On the first day, the Knights squared off against Piedmont
• Daniel Blonquist and Tanner Bassett dominated doubles on the first court with an 8-0 win while Marcos Dias and Benton Drake won 8-2
• In singles play, Marcos Dias handily dominated Court One, winning 6-0 6-0
• Daniel Blonquist won his match on the second court 6-2 6-0 
• Tanner Bassett and Marlo Perez-Urrutia wrapped their matches with wins, locking in the team's 6-3 victory
• On day two, Daniel Blonquist and Tanner Bassett snagged the lone win of the day, falling to NC Wesleyan 5-1, ending the Knights' season

Women's Tournament Notes

• On day one, Paula Snelson and Jillian Arnold took care of business on court one, winning 8-4
• Annalise Schetsselaar and Campbell Bueler also won 8-4 while Morgan Bean and Alyssa Sewell dominated 8-0
• In singles play, Paula Snelson and Annalise Schetsselaar won on courts two and three, while Alyssa Sewell and Morgan Bean dominated on courts five and six, locking in the team's 7-2 victory
• On the second day, Paula Snelson and Jillian Arnold got a dub in doubles, winning 8-4
• In singles, Paula Snelson wrapped up her undefeated conference season with a 6-2 6-3 win on court one

Both teams will look to build on the team's success this season, looking to make a run towards a conference title in their 2022-23 seasons.
