Rome, GA -  The Southern Virginia Men's Golf team teed off at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invite, and after an intense day of competition at Stonebridge Golf Club, they find themselves in the 12th position on the leaderboard. The Knights, finished the day with a combined score of +16, totaling 306 strokes.

One standout player for the Knights was Bennett, who blazed through the tournament with an impressive performance. He currently shares the 4th place on the leaderboard, boasting a remarkable score of -2. Bennett carded a 70 for the day and tallied four birdies on the day.

Not to be overshadowed, Nick Johnson exhibited his resilience and ability to bounce back. Johnson concluded the day with a score of +3, impressing with his determination. Despite running into challenges on the two and nine holes, Johnson displayed resilience by carding three birdies, demonstrating his fighting spirit.

Robbie Nielsen and Michael McCaffrey also contributed with commendable performances. Nielsen had a bit of a bumpy start but led the Knights in birdies, accumulating four. He finished the day at +9. McCaffrey, on the other hand, maintained a consistent performance throughout the day, amassing two birdies and concluding with a +8 finish.

The Southern Virginia Men's Golf team is determined to harness their momentum and continue their climb up the leaderboard as the tournament progresses.
