Douglasville, Ga. – The Southern Virginia University men's golf team had a busy week, with the A-Team competing at the West Pines Collegiate Invite in Georgia and the B and C Teams playing at the Knights Invitational in Nellysford, VA.
The A-Team showed significant improvement against a competitive field, finishing 11th out of 20 teams. The Knights faced a tough schedule, playing 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Nikko Taggart led Southern Virginia, delivering consistent performances with rounds of 72, 73, and 73, finishing +5 overall at the par-71 course.
Kaden Ford showed steady progress throughout the tournament. After an opening round of 77 (+6), he improved to a 74 (+3) and finished with an even-par 71 in the final round, tying for 28th place.
Junior Nick Johnson overcame a rough start, shooting an 80 (+9) in the first round, but rebounded with a 71 (E) and a 76 (+5) to finish tied for 45th.
Charles Price placed 61st with rounds of 82, 75, and 74, while Caden Bertnagole closed out the A-Team's performance with scores of 81, 87, and 78.
Meanwhile, the B and C Teams competed as individuals in the Knights Invitational held on a par-72 course in Nellysford, VA. Top performers included:

The Knights now take a well-deserved rest as they prepare for the Chick-fil-A Classic, hosted by Berry College at the Stonebridge Golf Course on October 21st.
