Box Score Staunton, Va - The Southern Virginia women's tennis team maintains their flawless conference record at 3-0 following a commanding sweep against Mary Baldwin University.
The Knights commenced with doubles, where Paula Snelson and Jillian Arnold extended their remarkable winning streak to 8-0. Lydia Delich and Remly Fry continued the momentum with a decisive victory, while Maddy Fisher and Grace Howell secured a win by default.
In singles matches, the Knights showcased their dominance as Snelson kicked off with a convincing 6-2, 6-0 triumph. Nadia Monophy followed suit with a solid 6-2, 6-2 win, while Lia Savage dominated with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory. Howell concluded the dual action with an impressive 6-1, 6-0 performance, improving her record to 4-0 this season. Additionally, Fisher and Elizabeth Ursenbach secured wins by default, contributing to the team's comprehensive victory.
Looking ahead, Southern Virginia will resume conference action as they return home to host N.C. Wesleyan in both men's and women's matches on Friday, March 29th, with the matches scheduled to commence at 2:00 pm.
