LEXINGTON, Va. - The Southern Virginia University men's and women's swim teams wrapped up a busy weekend at the Keydet Invite, hosted by VMI in their state-of-the-art Aquatic Center.
Events were split into two days, each day having its own morning (Prelims) and evening (Finals) session.
The meet featured 10 teams across all NCAA Divisions. Both teams placed sixth and were ahead of Division l Columbia College.
Men's ResultsÂ
Individually, Holton Bundy and Caleb Dixon produced stellar results to bring the Knights a slew of points.
In the 100 breast, Bundy cruised through the prelims in a time of 58.34, a personal best, which set him up for a ninth place finish in the final just a few hours later.

Dixon competed well in the 50 free, securing two points in a time of 21.62. However, his swim in the 100 back was the highlight as he finished 8th overall to earn 11 points. He recorded his best time of the day in the prelim, clocking in at 52.20.
Bryson Daniel was the other Knight to register a point after his finish in the 400 IM.
Women's Results
In the women's events, a total of eight Southern Virginia swimmers tallied points individually.Â
Jamie Horne qualified for the A final in both the 50 free and 100 fly, ultimately bringing 34 points to the Knights team score. Her time of 59.33 in the 100 fly was a personal best and gave her a third-place finish, the highest on the day for Southern Virginia.

Olive King's performance in the 200 free was another highlight, finishing in 5th place for a time of 1:59.03, a season's best. Kate Black, Jamie Horne, Rylee Nugent, Emma Chamberlain all finished in the top 15 in the event as the Knights piled up points.
Looking Ahead
Southern Virginia will now take an extended break from competition until the new year. Their next meet will be on Saturday, January 10th, as they visit Salem University for a tri-meet in West Virginia
