Buena Vista, Va. — The USA South Athletic Conference announced its 2025 All-Conference awards for men's tennis this week, with brothers Mason and Jared Pitcher earning recognition for their standout seasons.

Mason Pitcher, a junior from Bismarck, North Dakota, was named to the USA South All-Conference First Team after anchoring the Knights' lineup at the No. 1 singles position. Pitcher went 4-6 in singles play, consistently facing each opponent's top player. He also received All-Sportsmanship Team honors for his leadership, positivity, and support of teammates both on and off the court.

Mason, a key veteran presence, is the last remaining player from Southern Virginia's 2020–21 C2C Conference Championship team, and has made a lasting impact on the program.

Freshman Jared Pitcher also turned heads in his first collegiate season, earning USA South All-Conference Second Team honors after posting a 7-7 singles record. Jared was a force in both singles and doubles, where he and his brother Mason went 5-5 in the No. 1 doubles spot. His remarkable debut season earned him USA South Men's Tennis Player of the Week once, as well as Rookie of the Week honors three times. The duo was also named Doubles Team of the Week once during the season.

With momentum on their side, Southern Virginia advanced to the USA South Conference Tournament semifinals after defeating Brevard 4-2 in the opening round. The Knights will now look to pull off an upset over top-seeded N.C. Wesleyan in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on Friday, April 25.
