Williamsburg, Va. – The Southern Virginia University men's golf team wrapped up its regular season at the Sam Snead Collegiate, hosted by Piedmont University, finishing 16th in a competitive 21-team field.
The Knights got off to a tough start, posting a team score of +29 on day one. However, they bounced back in a big way during the final round, recording a team score of +7—the ninth-best round of the tournament.
Individually, Nikko Taggart led the way for Southern Virginia, shooting rounds of +6, +1, and -1 to finish tied for 14th overall at +6, highlighted by six birdies.
Nick Johnson posted rounds of +2, +14, and -1 to finish tied for 62nd, totaling eleven birdies across the event.
Kaden Ford carded rounds of +12, +6, and +2 to place tied for 78th, recording seven birdies.
Caden Bertagnole rounded out the lineup with rounds of +9, +6, and +7 to finish tied for 87th with two birdies.
Southern Virginia now turns its focus to the USA South Conference Tournament, which begins Monday, April 20 in Sanford, North Carolina.
