Stedman, N.C. – The Southern Virginia University men's golf team turned in a strong performance at the 2026 USA South Conference Championship, finishing third overall with a team score of 927 (+63), just one stroke behind second-place Greensboro.
Nikko Taggart led the Knights with the best finish of his career, placing fourth overall. He delivered a consistent three-round performance, shooting 73, 75, and 76 to finish at 224 (+8).
Senior Nick Johnson concluded his career with the Knights with a career-best tie for 10th place at the conference championship. Recently named to the USA South All-Conference Honorable Mention team, Johnson carded rounds of 74, 79, and 80 to finish at 233 (+17).
Will Agnew continued his steady play, earning his second consecutive 15th-place finish at the championship. The sophomore from Park City, Utah, posted rounds of 77, 78, and 82 to finish at 236 (+21).
Caden Bertagnole followed closely behind, finishing 18th overall. The junior from Pinehurst, North Carolina, recorded rounds of 81, 80, and 78 to finish at 238 (+22).
Kaden Ford rounded out the scoring for the Knights, showing improvement each day en route to a tie for 21st place. He opened with an 86 before improving to an 82 and closing with a 76 to finish at 244 (+28).
The Knights wrapped up their season with the second-best team score in program history at the USA South Conference Championship, matching their best-ever finish.
