Volleyball Comes Up Short vs. Saints

BUENA VISTA, Va.- The Southern Virginia women's volleyball team lost to Marymount University 3-1 Wednesday night in the Knight Sports Arena.

The Knights (3-13, 0-5 CAC) fought hard in the first two sets but lost 25-21, 25-14. A closely contested third set resulted in a Southern Virginia win, 25-21 but the Knights lost by the same margin in game four.

Freshman Allison Tiegs lead the attack with 13 kills and Claire Houghtaling had 10. Delaney Layton had 16 assists for the Knights.

Emileigh Rettig led the way for the Saints (17-6, 5-1 CAC) with 18 kills.

The Knights host Va. Wesleyan on Friday October, 23 at 6 p.m. in the Knights Sports Arena.
