FROSTBURG, Md. —The Knights were shutout 4-0 by conference opponent Frostburg State University in their final game of the season on Tuesday.
Despite a closely contested and scoreless first half, Frostburg State (10-6-3, 6-1-2 CAC) came alive early in the second half scoring in the first minute (46') after the intermission.
Southern Virginia (4-14, 1-8 CAC) was unable to stop the Bobcats' offensive attack. In the 56th minute the Bobcats added to their score and led the Knights 2-0, with goals to follow in the 60th and 73rd minute to finish 4-0.
Freshman Sarah Foster and midfielder Shayli Nakamoto led the Knight's offense, each with one shot on goal. Adding to the offensive attack was forward Tatiana Monsen with two shot attempts. Defender Lauren Hatchett recorded one shot.
In the box, goalkeeper Savannah Uri recorded 9 saves.
The Knights end their 2015 season with a 4-14 overall and 1-8 CAC record.
