FROSTBURG, Md.—The Southern Virginia men's lacrosse team lost to Frostburg State 15-6 in a Capital Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon.
The Knights (5-8, 2-5 CAC) scored first to take an early lead but were unable to consistently find an offensive attack. The Bobcats (12-2, 3-2 CAC) scored four in the first quarter and two in the second to take a 6-2 lead at halftime.
Frostburg continued to attack and scored nine more goals to secure their win. The Knights ended the game with a three goal streak, led by Ryan Larsen's two goals.
Larsen led the Knights with two goals. Spencer Tunick, Zach Danneman, Casey Rich, and Payton Kimber each added one score.
Ian Arave recorded nine saves for the Knights in goal. The Bobcats outshot the Knights 55-32.
Southern Virginia travels to York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 9. Faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
