Box Score

By Sam Armstrong

BUENA VISTA, Va. — Despite a tremendous effort on both sides of the ball, the Southern Virginia University women's soccer team dropped their conference matchup with Frostburg State on Wednesday 1-0.

In a tightly-contested game, Frostburg's (8-7-2, 7-1-1 CAC) goal in the 34th minute proved to be the difference between the teams. Southern Virginia (6-9-2, 3-5-1 CAC) put consistent pressure on the Bobcat's defense all game long but was unable to find the back of the net.

Midfielders Kylie Auger and Kora Jewell, as well as forward Taylor Mercer, combined for the Knights' 12 shots on the game, with six of them on goal. The teams also took two corner kicks each.

Goalkeeper Merideth Ouellette finished the game with four saves in the loss.

Seniors Kora Jewell and Shirley Morales-Llan were honored after the game.
