Natalie Teets is a freshman tennis player and cheerleader whose journey to Southern Virginia University is unlike any other, because her grandma also attended school on this campus, at Southern Seminary, years ago.
The Sorrento, Florida native grew up near her grandma, Audrey, whom she looks up to and loves. "Grandma always put other people first," Natalie said. "She would drop everything to spend time with others. She taught me how to knit and was always there for me."
Audrey attended Southern Seminary in 1951-52, was a Cornelian and member of numerous clubs. When she found out about Natalie's decision to come to her former school, she gave a smile of approval and excitement.
"I'm happy to be where my grandma was, it feels like I'm at home," Natalie said.
Like her grandma, Natalie is involved on campus with different activities, and shared her thoughts in this special spotlight.

Name 3 people (living, fictional, or dead) that you'd like to have dinner with
Jane Seymour. I've watched so many of her movies and TV shows that I think it would be exciting to meet her. The second person would be Emma Smith. I think she must have been one of the strongest most faithful woman ever. Last, and really my first choice, is the Prophet Thomas S. Monson. I'd like to hear about all the things he does where he has traveled and experience's he has had. President Monson tells the best stories.
