Box Score BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team fell to No. 7 Mary Washington 19-2 on Saturday.
The Knights held off the Eagles' defense for the first few minutes of the game before March Washington scored and continued to score seven unanswered goals.
Lauren Thatcher broke the Eagle's momentum with a goal from the free position in the first half.
The second half played out very similarly, this time it was Natalie Rice who scored off of a free position shot halfway through the second half.
Madilyn Krauss, the Knights' goalkeeper, notched three saves during the game.
The Knights are back in action on Monday, March 12 against Concordia at home at 11:00 a.m.
