Women's Lacrosse Downs Wildcats

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team found their rhythm on both offence and defense to take down the Wildcats 17-4 Tuesday evening. 

The Knights (4-5) stormed off to a 5-0 lead early in the first half with both Hannah King and Majkaleah Knowles scoring a pair of goals. By the end of the half, the Knights had extended their lead to 9-2.

Randolph took the first goal of the second half but the Knights responded with five of their own before the Wildcats could score their fourth.

Megan Barfuss led the Knights with five goals and an assist. Both Hannah King and Natalie Rice threw in three of their own.

Madilyn Krauss saved seven of the eleven shots in goal in her fourth win.

The Knights will take on the Salisbury Seagulls on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Salisbury, Maryland.
