FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — LaRee Crockett, a junior setter at Southern Virginia University, was named the Capital Athletic Conference player of the week after helping the Knights start the season 4-0 and win the 24th Annual Cougar Classic hosted by Averett University.

Crockett continued her dominance from last season, accumulating 149  assists during the tournament, an assist-per-set average of 11.46 as well as 39 digs and six service aces. Crockett's player of the week award is the first of the 2018 campaign.
