Box Score SALISBURY, Md. — The Southern Virginia University field hockey team fell in their last road game of the season at No. 3 Salisbury University by the score of 6-0 at Sea Gull Stadium.
The Knights (0-15, 0-4) fell behind early in the first quarter as the high-powered Sea Gull (15-1, 4-0) offense rattled off five goals to jump to a take a 5-0 lead.
In the second quarter, Southern Virginia tightened to hold Salisbury scoreless for the quarter. The Knights' offense was unable to trim the lead and headed into the half trailing 5-0.
The Knights' defense continued its success from the previous quarter as they shut out the Sea Gulls for the second consecutive quarter.
In the final quarter of play, Salisbury extended their lead as Ariel Limpert found the back of the net to seal the game with the 6-0 victory.
Kyla Nase collected 19 saves at goal for Souther Virginia, pushing her passed 200 saves for the season. Also, providing a spark on defense was Elizabeth Sorto and Charley Drew, with each recording a defensive save.
The Knights conclude their inaugural season with Senior Day this Wednesday, Oct. 30, as they host Mary Washington at 5 p.m.
