First Set:
- After finding themselves down 7-9 at the beginning of the set, Elle Warnick set up Courtney Pinkston for a kill that sparked an 8-1 scoring run to put them up 15-10
- Both teams traded points, but Southern Virginia wrapped up the first set with a 6-3 run with an ace from Elle Warnick and a final kill from Brenna Clyde
- Brenna Clyde led all players with five kills
Second Set:
- Midway through the set, Katelyn Chamberlain put up three service aces to lead an 11-1 scoring run to put them up 18-9
- The Knights made quick work of the second set using a 7-1 scoring run with a final ace from Emma Steiger to take the 2-0 lead in the match 25-11
Third Set:
- Hopeful of a comeback, Roanoke opened the final set with a 5-2 advantage, but two aces from Julia Monson sparked another 7-1 run to put the squad up 9-6
- The Knights wrapped up the game outscoring the Maroons the remainder of the set 16-4 to complete the sweep
- Courtney Pinkston, Katelyn Chamberlain, and Julia Monson led all players with two aces each
Southern Virginia continues their dominant season, taking on conference foe Greensboro Wednesday, October 13, in Knight Arena. Game time is scheduled for 6 pm.
