Game Notes
First Set:
- Berry came out hot, building an 8-3 lead
- Southern Virginia fought back, coming within two points 8-10 led by two Courtney Pinkston points, but Berry jumped back up 18-10
- The Vikings clinched the first set 25-15
Second Set:
- The Knights rebounded to start set two, using three Brenna Clyde kills to go up 7-3
- Berry responded, using a 14-1 to go up 17-8
- A final 8-4 run by the Vikings put them up 2-0 over Southern Virginia
Third Set:
- Both teams traded points at the beginning of the third set
- Each team stayed within one point of each other the entirety of the set, but Berry used a final 4-1 push to complete the sweep 25-22
The Knights travel to Salem, Virginia, to take on Roanoke College on Thursday, September 16. Game time is slated for 6:30 pm.
