HARRISONBURG, VA. — The Southern Virginia University field hockey team fell in their matchup Saturday afternoon, dropping to Lancaster Bible 7-1. 

Game Notes

• Alexis Gilbert scored the first goal of the game to put Lancaster Bible up 1-0
• Molly Gray extended the lead to two 2-0 midway through the first quarter
• Knights defense held strong, managing to hold the opposition scoreless until the end of the second 
• Molly Gray recorded her second goal of the game two minutes before the halftime intermission
• Alexis Gilbert scored the loan goal of the third quarter, putting the Racers up 4-0
• After two more goals by Lancaster bible, Elizabeth Sorto scored Southern Virginia's lone goal of the game with nine minutes remaining in the match
• Molly Gray completed her hat trick before time expired, securing the 7-1 victory

The Knights continue their season taking on Wilson on Saturday, September 11. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
