Box Score BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team took on Brevard Saturday afternoon in Knight Stadium, dominating the Tornados 18-2.
Game Notes
- Alissa Johnson led the way for the team, recording six points off of two goals and four assists
- Tyler John had a solid outing, scoring five points off of four goals and one assist
- Adelaide Smith rounded out the scoring with four points off of three goals and one assist
- Chloe Mitchell brought in a game-high four draw controls
- After the first quarter, the Knights held the 9-0 advantage over the Tornados, with Tyler John leading the way with three goals
- Heading into halftime, Southern Virginia held the 13-0 lead
- Brevard had a solid third quarter, scoring two unanswered goals, but the Knights closed the game out with five consecutive goals led by two McKayla Martin goals
Southern Virginia returns to action on Tuesday, April 19, taking on Averett University. Game time is scheduled for 6 pm.
