Southern Virginia Women's Lacrosse Falls in USA South Conference Championship

RALEIGH, NC. — The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team squared off against Meredith College in the 2022 USA South Conference Championship game Saturday afternoon, with the Knights falling to the Avenging Angels 17-4. 


Game Notes

  • Tyler John led the team with two goals on the day, while Alissa Johnson and Belle Quiggle, added one 
  • In the cage for the Knights, Jessica Webb stood tall, recording a game-high ten saves
  • Tyler John scored the first goal of the game for the Knights, putting the team within one goal 2-1 in the first quarter
  • With 4:49 remaining in the first, Tyler John again scored for Southern Virginia off of a free position shot
  • In the second quarter, Alissa Johnson scored her first goal of the game at the 11:47 mark
  • Belle Quiggle scored the final goal of the game with 4:18 remaining in the fourth quarter
