Angels Hand Southern Virginia Women's Lacrosse First Conference Loss of the Season

RALEIGH, NC. — The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team dropped their first conference game of the year Friday night, falling to Meredith College 14-4. 


Game Notes

  • Addison England put the Knights up 1-0 early off of a free position shot at the 9:22 mark of the first quarter
  • Alissa Johnson scored the team's second goal with 31 seconds remaining in the first to put the team back within one goal 2-3 heading into the second quarter
  • With just over six minutes remaining in the game, Tyler John scored a goal, coming off of an Alissa Johnson assist
  • Adelaide Smith wrapped up the scoring with a free position shot with four minutes remaining in the game
  • In cage for Southern Virginia, Jessica Webb recorded nine saves on 23 shots faced

The Knights take on William Peace on Saturday, April 9. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
