BUENA VISTA, Va. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) revealed its recipients for the 2026 Team Academic Award. The Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team is amongst the list of qualifiers.

To earn the award, teams needed to finish the academic year with at least a cumulative GPA of 3.3. 

"We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon.

The award recognizes high school, NAIA, and NCAA programs from across the country.
