Football Falls to No. 23 Rowan

GLASSBORO, N.J.—The Southern Virginia football team's winless season continues as the Knights fell at No. 23 Rowan 59-0 Saturday afternoon. Rowan had 434 total yards compared to Southern Virginia's 99 total yards.

The Knights (0-6, 0-5 NJAC) allowed 28 points in the first quarter and were unable to answer. Quarterback Jacob Hatch completed six passes for 39 yards and had an intereption.

On the ground Jared Watts led the way for the Knights with 15 carries for 41 yards and Michael Carroll led Knight receivers with three catches for 29 yards.

The Knights defence recorded an impressive 77 tackles during the game. Bill Katoa led the Knights defence with 8 tackles. Morgan Smith and Sam Mellor followed closely with 7 tackles each.

The Knights hit the road next week to face Wm. Patterson on October 24; kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
