Buena Vista, VA — The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 Football All-Conference awards, and Southern Virginia University delivered a historic showing with seven Knights honored, including Head Coach Joe DuPaix earning USA South Coach of the Year—the first such recognition in program history.
In year three of his second stint leading the Knights, DuPaix guided Southern Virginia to one of the most remarkable turnarounds in NCAA Division III. After being unanimously picked to finish last in the USA South preseason coaches poll, the Knights surged to a 6-4 overall record and 3-4 conference finish, placing fifth in the league. Along the way, Southern Virginia posted the first 3–0 and 4–0 starts in program history, ranked second nationally in fumbles recovered, and recorded its highest offensive output of the NCAA era (340.7 yards per game).
