Buena Vista, Va. — College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District Football Team, recognizing three Southern Virginia University upperclassmen for their excellence on the field and in the classroom: junior quarterback Devin Watson, senior offensive tackle Cambridge Bingham, and senior wide receiver Isaiah Maxey.
Watson continued his standout season by throwing for 2,210 yards, the second-most in a single season in program history, while adding 18 touchdown passes. He was previously named to the USA South All-Conference Sportsmanship Team and now earns Academic All-District honors.
Bingham, a four-year member of the Knights and All-Conference Second Team selection, capped off his collegiate career with Academic All-District recognition. A team captain, he anchored the offensive line and played a key role in Southern Virginia's success this season.
Maxey also completed his Knight career as a captain and four-year contributor, earning Academic All-District honors in recognition of his leadership and consistent impact throughout the season.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 while being significant contributors to their team.
