About the Knights
The Southern Virginia football team travels to Salisbury Universtiy this weekend for their second conference game of the season. Coming off of a tough loss against Frostburg State, the Knights are looking for their first win of the season.
The Knights offense has been ran by both Crosby Jensen and Sean Honeycutt. Honeycutt is averaging 57 yards per game. Jared Watts leads the team in rushing with 64 total yards. Lakeith Hopkins has 45 yards and one touchdown on the season and John Harris has also contributed with 34 total yards. Bryan Lorenzen leads the Knights with four receptions for a total of 25 yards.
The defense has been lead by Nick Waterson who has an impressive total of 17 tackles. Joel Bergman has contributed 14 tackles and Brayden Barrus has 13.
About the Sea Gulls
Salisbury was picked to finish third in the New Jersey Athletic Conference this season. They are 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference after beating Montclair State 46-14 last weekend.
Sea Gulls' quarterback, Ryan Jones, is leading the offense with an average of 144.5 yards per game. Ryan Jones, Jerome Johnson, and Connor Canonico lead the team in rushing. Isaiah Taylor leads the receivers with a total of 176 yards and one touchdown. Christian Wilson leads the defense with 14 total tackles on the season and Nick Batastini has 13.
