Career vs. Quakers: This will be the first ever matchup

About the Knights
Under the direction of first-year head coach Joe DuPaix and his staff, which includes to former NFL players, the Knights look to put together a successful season, after two difficult seasons as new members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

The Knights return All-NJAC honorees Michael Carroll, junior wide receiver, and Sam Tetterton, sophomore offensive lineman.

Southern Virginia Coach Joe DuPaix
Coach DuPaix comes to Southern Virginia from Brigham Young where he served two seasons (2011-12) as the Cougar's recruiting coordinator and running backs coach. Working under then head coach Bronco Mendenhall, DuPaix was part of the staff that led the Cougars to an 18-8 overall record, including back-to-back bowl wins and a 10-win season in 2011.

Before BYU, DuPaix coached the slot backs at the United States Naval Academy. During his three years in Annapolis, the Midshipmen appeared in three consecutive bowl games, won two Commander-In-Chief trophies and ranked in the top-ten nationally for rushing offenses each season. He was also part of Navy's 10-win season in 2009.

Outlook from Coach DuPaix
We are excited to see our team compete on Saturday and let them show what they can do. We know that Earlham is a good football program, and our number one focus is on us and on doing things the right way from the most basic fundamentals.

We have set many season milestones that begin as simple as winning the first quarter. The team has worked hard, learned lots and grown together. It's time to celebrate what we have learned on the football field.

About the Quakers
Earlham College is looking for their first win in a year after an 0-10 finish in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Despite the record, second-year head coach Nick Johnson was named HCAC Coach of the Year in his first season, after his battles on and off the field.

The Quakers return junior quarterback Wesley Hundley, and sophomore receiver and All-HCAC honoree Marcaus Cooper.
