Salisbury Hands Football Tough NJAC Loss

SALISBURY, Md. — The Southern Virginia University football team suffered a tough road loss on Saturday afternoon, falling 42-0 at Salisbury University in New Jersey Athletic Conference play. 

The Knights (1-6, 0-6 NJAC) suffered their second toughest loss of the season from Salisbury, who remains undefeated in NJAC play. 

Southern Virginia was able to work up 126 yards of total offense and nine first downs, led by 26 yards from Jewka Patetefa. Quarterback Ty Jones finished with 24 rushing yards and 11 passing. 

Defensively, Mitch Orme led the way with 14 total tackles followed by Neil Davis who picked up ten. Skylar Cloward recorded eight tackles, along with forcing a fumble and breaking up a pass. 

The Knights will host Frostburg State on Friday at 7 p.m., under the lights at Knight Stadium.
